Who We Serve
Our practice is intentionally narrow. We represent judgment creditors who need focused, strategic enforcement under California law. Many clients and attorneys prefer to have post-judgment enforcement handled by counsel who works in this area every day.
Businesses and Institutional Creditors
If your company, or your client, holds an unpaid judgment in California, enforcement can be challenging and technical. It often requires locating assets, understanding exemptions, and choosing the right enforcement tools at the right time. Some businesses and attorneys prefer to hand that work to counsel who focuses exclusively on judgment enforcement.
We can step in directly with the client, or we can work jointly with existing counsel so they remain involved and informed throughout the process. Our goal is to make enforcement efficient while protecting client relationships and keeping everyone aligned. Many matters begin with a simple review of the judgment and the available information so we can talk through realistic next steps through our Free Judgment Review.
Trial Counsel and Out-of-State Firms
After a judgment is entered, enforcement in California often requires a lawyer who knows the local courts, sheriffs, recording systems, and procedures. Trial counsel and out-of-state firms sometimes need boots-on-the-ground California counsel who can domesticate sister-state and federal judgments, coordinate levies and execution sales, record abstracts of judgment, and conduct debtor examinations efficiently.
We regularly work in whatever structure is most helpful. Sometimes we work behind the scenes while trial counsel remains the primary contact. Other times we coordinate directly with the client while keeping referral counsel fully informed. The goal is to enforce the judgment effectively while supporting the relationship you built with your client.
Family Law Counsel
Family law judgments carry financial consequences that often outlast the litigation. Support arrears, attorney-fee awards, and reimbursement orders can be difficult to collect, especially when emotions are high and information about assets is incomplete. Many family law attorneys prefer to keep their focus on custody, settlement, and ongoing client management while having enforcement handled by counsel who works in that area every day.
We work with family law counsel to pursue collection quietly and methodically, using tools such as bank levies, assignment orders, real property levies, recording an abstract of judgment, and targeted debtor examinations. We can work directly with the client or in coordination with counsel so communication stays controlled and the case strategy stays aligned. The goal is simple: enforce the financial orders efficiently while letting family law counsel stay focused on the issues that matter most to their clients.
